When doctors were faced with the rare patient presentation of a 17-year-old girl with amelogenesis imperfecta, they turned to CAD/CAM for an innovative treatment solution.
Using advanced 3D design software and a Bloom Dental 3D printer, they were able to design, model, and print a custom surgical guide for a precise crown lengthening procedure. Provisional restorations show substantial success of their creativity and ingenuity, enabled in part by the use of a dental 3D printer and biocompatible materials.
